Okay, it’s May 1st… and here we present Episode 9 of Mr. Robin’s Hood Podcast with your hosts, Mr. Robin (Robin Hohweiler) and Mikey-on-the-Mic (Mikel Mauree Robinson). Epi 9 is titled, “Rise of the Beer Nerd” featuring former Woodward resident and present-day brewer (among a lot of other stuff), Steve Goetzinger (pictured). Steve discusses the pitfalls and rewards of brewing beer on a commercial scale.
Steve is a lawyer (insert obligatory lawyer joke here), a brewmaster (owner and operator of the renowned MadHopper Brewing Co. on Britton Road in OKC), a lover of all things boozy (he’s a partner in Woodworks Distillery Co., again on Britton Road – seeing a pattern?), and he even has a full-sized concert harp in his living room! But wait, there's more. He's also a BBQ fiend, an artist, and a former lord high mayor and current city council member of the city of Nichols Hills. We couldn't make this stuff up if we tried. Trust us, this episode is going to be one for the books as we dive into Steve's wild world of brewing beer and shakin' things up along The Britton Road District of OKC.
As always, you can stream or download episodes of Mr. Robin’s Hood Podcast wherever you usually find that sort of nonsense. We’re on Spotify, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, the PodBean App, Apple Podcasts, and PodChaser.

Welcome to Epi 4 of Mr. Robin's Hood Podcast brought to you digitally from The Compound outside of Fargo, OK. This episode focuses on the importance of being able to access local music for rural populations. We did a remote interview with Travis Jones, one of the founding members of the Oklahoma rock band, 9 Left Dead. Travis shared a lot of information regarding the band's origins, his musical influences, and his songwriting. Throughout, there's a definite story of resilience and perseverance in the face of a stacked deck.

Hey there everybody! The wait is over, and Mr. Robin's Hood Podcast has just dropped Episode 3 titled, Mikey's Mixology 101. This is a very Mikey-centric podcast episode during which our own Mikey-on-the-Mic (Mikel Maureé Robinson) takes you deep inside the somewhat unseemly, in need of a confessional, and snake pit world of the art of mixing drinks.
Mikey is a genuine pro at mixology and is a highly sought after bartender for her brilliant concoctions of joy juice both as a private bartender for hire and at her part-time gig at the Patriot Pub (hereafter, known as The Pat) in Woodward, OK. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy... emails are welcome at both mikey@mrrobinshood.com and mr.robin@mrrobinshood.com . Let us know what you think and challenge Mikey on her mixed drink knowledge. We may read your email during one of our upcoming podcasts.
OH... and please do check out Mikey's TikTok page @mikelmaureeart to view many of her mixology videos! Or just follow this link - Mikey (@mikelmaureeart) | TikTok
Please share these podcasts with all your friends and family. They'll thank you later! No, seriously they will... especially your creepy Aunt Gertie (she has a thing for Mr. Robin).
Enjoy!
